The Project:

Rebuilt the Haitian transportation infrastructure after the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010; created a temporary floating barge dock which enabled the restoration of power and communication, and the delivery of food aid and equipment to purify water; removed debris and reopened the main port, Port au Prince itself.

  • Delivered and leased three track cranes with up to 375 ton capacity
  • Provided a temporary floating dock which increased commercial throughput by 20%, allowing larger commercial vessels to again provide service to Port au Prince
  • Provided a 340’ x 94’ barge used for salvage operations and heavy lift cargo operations
  • Salvaged submerged harbor crane
