USS CONSTELLATION – UPDATE

October 8, 2014

The USS Constellation had developed PORT list off the coast of Antofagasta, Chile.  The US Navy was notified and arranged for a 4-man Navy Salvage Team to arrive and assess the situation and the problem has been resolved.  The vessels were given permission for shelter from weather  in Bahia Mejillones Del Sur for  a storm front moving in for the next 48 hours.  They will be back underway as soon as it is safe to do so.

The ETA for Valparaiso will be updated when they are back underway full.

Apologize:  it was a port list not a starboard list.

Thanks for the update on the Connie’s port list. Have seen several posts on Facebook regarding this which did not confirm why.
