August 22, 2014

Earlier this week Connie and Corbin pulled into Long Beach, CA to refuel before heading south towards the next stop of Balboa, Panama.

Photographer Bill Arthur (www.wkarthur.com) was there and sent us these amazing photos. Please click on the image below to view the entire gallery.

Also check out these videos posted on youtube of Connie’s final journey:

Thanks for the photos and videos folks….

How about a few from the Corbin Foss while underway?…

Any chance that when she gets to Texas we’ll get a last chance to say “good bye?”

The only opportunity for you to say goodbye will be at Brownsville as she arrives. Our job is to deliver her safely to Brownsville, and once our mission is completed, we will no longer be involved.
We would offer the same advice as we have to those wishing to view her at Long Beach and Balboa: No one will be allowed on board, and if charter vessels are involved, they must maintain a 500 yard distance from the ship at all times.

When the Forrestal came a few months back we were able to see her through the ship channel. There was a great amount of interest and the company that took charge of her allowed a dock side viewing for one day. Of course no one is allowed on board. I don’t know if the company in charge of the Connie will do the same thing.
