The Project:
For more than a decade Foss has safely delivered fuel oil to the United States West Coast. Foss Maritime’s fleet of six environmentally-friendly double hull barges range in size from 26,000 barrels to 35,000 barrels and are outfitted with vapor recovery capabilities. The hulls are specifically designed to prevent or reduce oil spills and to maximize the safety of the environment, crew and cargo. To date Foss has delivered more than 220 million barrels of fuel oil.
Services Provided:
- Bunker & Petroleum Transportation
- Regional Towing
- Project Management
Highlights:
- Foss safely transports over 1.4 million barrels of fuel oil every month.
- As barges are loaded, displaced vapors are pushed through a carbon absorption system to mitigate emissions.
- oss took the lead in phasing out all single hull barges and replacing them with state-of-the-art double hull barges, ahead of industry regulations.
